The Dakinis Ruled.

The packed temple told the story-- following a wonderful public talk by the Khenpos on Thursday night, a record number of registrants from all over the country converged in TN for Summer Retreat '04.

At Padma Gochen Ling, our temple and retreat center near Monterey, TN, students were treated to a rare and special teaching on one the central female figures in Tibetan Buddhism, Yeshe Tsogyal. Divine feminine energy coursed through the grounds as the Khenpos taught us the history and symbolism of the holy consort of Guru Padmasambhava.

While much of the retreat schedule entailed teachings or prayer with the Khenpos, there was some free time to catch up with friends. Many a story was shared around the center, especially at the new sangha house, which has now reached the last stage reach of completion. And 27 people declared themselves on the Buddhist path-- the second most ever.

Retreat '04 also saw a great student of the Khenpos, Rita Frizzell, pass the coordinator's torch (actually computer, Dharma books, and records) to Dolly Carlisle. A deep bow to Rita for all her hard work!

La Jhalo!

A record number attended the retreat.
